PANERAI Luminor SUBMERSIBLE 1950 3 Days GMT ''POLE2POLE''

PANERAI have once again teamed up with explorer, Mike Horn to create an inimitably cool Special Edition Luminor Submersible for his latest Pole – Pole adventure.

A special version of Panerai’s depth meter watch was also made for one of Mike’s previous adventures, the Luminor Submersible 1950 Pangaea Depth Gauge Ref. PAM00307.

Another cool watch was also made for Mike’s first solo circumnavigation of the Arctic Circle, the Arktos expedition, the Luminor North Pole GMT Ref. PAM00252.

But accompanying Mike on his latest polar expedition is the new Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days GMT Pole2Pole Ref. PAM00719.

The watch has a 47mm brushed Titanium case with a water-resistance of 300 meters and is powered by an in-house, Panerai P.9001 caliber, automatic mechanical movement.

Its functions include: hours, minutes, small seconds, date, GMT, power reserve indicator on the back and seconds reset.

Special features of the watch include: a midnight blue dial, with applied hour marker dots coated with SLN and a special bulge-effect ‘Pole2Pole’ inscription, printed in yellow to match its GMT hand as well as the sub-seconds dial at 9 o’clock.

Engraved on the case back is the expedition logo – which consists of two animals symbolizing the two poles, the polar bear and the penguin – and Mike Horn’s signature.

Divers features include: a unidirectional brushed Titanium divers bezel with polished edges and dive-time scale, corundum-formed Sapphire crystal, PAM’s trademark, patented crown protecting device and a 30 bar depth-rating.

The new Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days GMT Pole2Pole Ref. PAM00719 comes in a limited series of 500 units.

Got a PAM? Imho every good collection should have at least one, here’s mine – the Luminor Submersible 1950 1000M Ref. PAM00243
