HEXA Osprey [rugged refinement]

By TLex Introducing the HEXA Osprey, the brand’s latest divers model. It is based on their F74 Limited Edition diver that was made in collaboration with the Watchuseek dive watch FORUM and is a modern interpretation of a dive watch classic.

The Osprey boasts a number of sophisticated features such as its matte ceramic insert that tops off its 120-click unidirectional bezel or the BGW9 Swiss SuperLuminova that has been applied to its hands and dial markers.

Power comes from the ever reliable Miyota 9015 automatic movement from Citizen, Japan. Water-resistance is 300 meters.

Each Osprey has been hand-assembled in the USA and features a numbered display caseback with a signed rotor, two new dial color options and a ratcheting divers-clasp with a micro-adjustment.

I remember how popular the K500 was - with its somewhat austere and blocky design. And while the Osprey is still angular and rugged looking, it seems to be far more refined. The lovely new sunburst blue dial is more befitting of a brand based in sunny Florida, too – and check out the caseback shot (bottom) with the Osprey sat on the seafloor; how inviting is that?!

As with HEXA’s previous models, they have approached the design with an emphasis on utility with special attention to legibility, flexibility and ease of use. The Osprey will make for an excellent companion for all your water or land born adventures this summer!
