MAGRETTE Regattare CARBON

By TLex Boasting a case constructed from Forged Carbon and housing a Swiss made ETA 2824 automatic movement, it was no surprise that the Limited Edition of just 10 pieces of Magrette's Regattare Carbon were pre-sold even before they had a chance to hit the shelves (so to speak).

Forged composites such as the one used for the case of the Regattare Carbon are made with short strands of carbon fiber that are threaded together and placed into a heated mold with a resin, and then bonded under high pressure. The end result is material that is incredibly light and strong.

To compliment the watch's high-tech 44mm case, the Regattare Carbon has been fitted with a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coated screwdown crown and caseback made from Titanium. The crown has been placed on the left-hand side of the case at 9 o'clock.

The special features don't stop there, either. The Regattare Carbon has been fitted with a sandwich dial, which has two parts placed on top of each other giving it wondeful 3D quality. The bottom layer has been applied with C3 SuperLuminova.

Divers features include: a highly scratch-resistant - double domed Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on its inside and a water-resistance of 200 meters.

The watch comes with a rubber divers strap and leather black band and will be delivered Magrette's new travel case priced 1159euro. Let's hope that the demand for this incredible watch is such that Magrette decide to make a few more!
