PANERAI Luminor SUBMERSIBLE 1950 3 Days Automatic TITANIO ‘Classic Yachts Challenge’

By TLex Officine Panerai have launched a classic-looking new Submersible in celebration of the ‘Panerai Classic Yacht Challenge’.

The Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Titanio AKA PAM00571 will be made in exclusive run of just 50 pieces with the 10 ‘Years of Passion’ logo on their casebacks.

The PAM571 features a classic Panerai 1950 case design recalling the Florentine brand’s historical ties to the Italian Navy Special Forces. The 47mm case is constructed from Titanium with a brushed finish.

The case is fitted with a 4mm thick Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and a screw-down, brushed Titanium caseback with: ‘10 Years of Passion 2005 – 2014’ engraving.

The 571’s dial is a traditional sleek and super clean black dial with luminous Arabic numerals and applied hour markers, a date at 3 o’clock, seconds at 9 o’clock. It features applied luminous hour markers and semi-skeletonized, luminescent hands.

Further divers features include: Panerai’s trademark crown locking guard lever, a unidirectional rotational divers bezel with classic studs and a water-resistance of up to 30 atmospheres - approximately 300 meters.

The Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Titanio is powered by a Panerai manufacture P.9000 automatic caliber. Functions include: hours, minutes, small seconds and date.

The Panerai P.9000 caliber has been entirely by Panerai. Spec. includes: 13¾ lignes, 7.9 mm thick, 28 jewels, Glucydur® balance, 28,800 alternations/hour, an incabloc® anti-shock device, a power reserve of 3 days and two barrels. It is comprised of 197 components.

The watch comes on a custom Paneai rubber divers strap with their famous pre-Ven-style buckle in brushed titanium. It is supplied with a second interchangeable strap, a tool for changing the strap and a steel screwdriver.

What’s not to like about the PAM571, it’s another timeless Italian mil-diver from the best that there at doing this sort of watch. Remind me a lot of my 243. Though, I must admit, I would have much preferred a view of the P.9000 than a boring caseback engraving.
