RAM Baran DIVER

By TLex Established in Zurich in 2008, RAM Watches have taken their name and logo from the zodiac sign for aeries, which they believe underlines strength, dynamic, speed and strong will; attributes that they feel reflect themselves and their watches. Their first divers model, didn't come until four years later.

The BARAN Diver was first presented at Baselworld 2012. Its case, which measures 47mm in diameter is fitted with a sapphire crystal and has a water-resistance of 100atm, the equivalent of 1000meters. It houses the ubiquitous ETA 2824 auto. Design-wise, there's a familiarity to the Baran Diver, although I can't quite put my finger on anything that I recognize specifically.

Two interesting features of the watch are: one, that it has a left handed crown position, preferred for some military and divers' models and those that have oversized crowns, so as to avoid any unwanted interference with equipment. Secondly the rather odd dive time scale that runs from 60-0 rather than 0-60, perhaps a Photoshop issue?
