LINDE WERDELIN Oktopus II - Double Date Titanium BLUE

By TLex From concept to reality - another LW creation that was initially shown as a concept has been fully realized in the stunning new OKTOPUS II - Double Date Titanium BLUE.

As its namely aptly suggests this new version of LW's latest Okto family has been cosmetically enhanced with some lovely intense blue highlights . . .

BLUE has been used for the watch's luminent indices, tension disks, the Linde Werdelin logo and the famous Double Date wheels. An attractive enhancement I'm sure you'll agree and one that LW believe not only increases readability, but gives the dial extra depth.

Yes, indeed! As blue is the last color that is visible when descending into the ocean's depths. Not only this but who doesn't like blue on a diver anyway?!

The Double Date BLUE's enhancements don't end with its new color palette. LW have made some subtle changes to the case finish. The titanium case has undergone a rougher polish to achieve a more rugged finish.

The ceramic bezel has been widened around the fixing screws allowing a stronger hint of color display from the eight colored tension disks.

The bezel has been given a satin finish with a polished facet on the outer side creating a more luxurious and interesting contrast under the light. The 3 o’clock unit has been opened up with a curve on top to add elegance yet enable easy access to the crown.

“In bringing the concept series to finish, we gave closer attention to the finest detail and a better play of materials. These subtle final enhancements emphasizes our sense of perfection and mark the completion of our challenge to redefine what a dive watch in use with a dive instrument should be now and in the future,” says Morten Linde.

The new Oktopus II Titanium BLUE retails for 10'560CHF. Just 88 pieces are available . . .
